MCCH Endowment Trap and Turkey Shoot

The Murray Calloway Endowment for Healthcare’s 2nd Annual Aiming for Prevention Trap and Turkey Shoot will be held Saturday, October 14, at Jackson Purchase Gun Club. An Open House will be held at the club at 147 Cook Store Road, Murray, from 4pm until 7pm on Thursday, October 12th.  

One hundred percent of the events proceeds go toward the Murray Calloway Endowment for Healthcare’s 3D mammography project, Because She Matters.

The trap shoot is a five person rotation at $10 per round, and the turkey shoot is a 10 person group at $5 per person with a 50/50 split of the pot or a turkey donated by Kroger.

A lunch menu will be for sale on site; sponsors for this event are Dwain Taylor Chevrolet, First Choice Firearms, Parker Ford, DevSource; Murray Ledger and Times, Pella, Walmart and State Representative Kenny Imes. Also recognition for those who helped coordinate – Dr. Marti Erwin, Jackson Purchase Gun Club, Randell and Marilyn Miller, Tracy McKinney, and Steven Dabbs.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m; shotgun shells will be available for sale on site and prizes will be awarded to participants. A Remington 870 shotgun is being donated by FirstChoice Firearms for raffle with the drawing being between 2:45 and 3pm the day of the shoot; tickets are available at FirstChoice or at the Endowment Office at Murray Calloway County Hospital for $10.
