MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital opens the hospital’s second magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) lab.
Prior to the second lab opening, their original MRI lab operated 12 hours a day, with up to a 4 week full schedule for appointments. The second MRI lab will allow MCCH to shorten the wait time for MRI procedures.
“This expansion is part of MCCH’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services in the region and ensure that physicians have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic tools,” said Heidi Hordyk, Director of Radiology Services, who also noted that the technology of the new MRI will allow MCCH to offer some procedures that patients formerly had to travel to a larger facility to have performed.
“We are thrilled to introduce the second MRI machine,” said Jerry Penner, CEO “This is a major step in our journey to enhance healthcare services for our community. This investment allows us to provide timely and accurate diagnoses to our patients, improving their overall health outcomes.”
