MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital recognizes the commitment and loyalty of long-term Registered Nurse, Pam Vaughn. Pam has worked at MCCH for a total of 44 years in various areas but has spent most of her time in Med-Surg and Post Partum. She says her fondest memories were spent with Dr. Lowery who took her under his wing and taught her so much. She said he was truly a great teacher. She also said Dr. Cook was very influential in her career, and she could not have enjoyed her job as much as she did if it were not for Dana Bazzell, Director of Perinatal Services who has now retired.

“I love Dana, and she taught me so much about leadership. She was a wonderful role model,” said Pam Vaughn.

“For 44 years, Pam has been the heart of this organization, demonstrating dedication, compassion, and excellence in patient care. She has touched many lives and helped with the delivery of numerous babies in our community. On behalf of the entire hospital community, we thank Pam for her extraordinary service and wish her all the best in retirement,” said Jerry Penner, CEO.

Pam said she is looking forward to resting, reading, and traveling. She will officially retire on February 2, 2025.
