Expectant couples and new parents are invited to “Arrival Day” at Murray-Calloway County Hospital on Tuesday, May 8 from 4:30 -6 p.m. in the North Tower Lobby off Poplar Street.

The Miracle Moments Maternity Center will be opened up for tours during the event, showcasing the technology and medical resources available for birthing.  Local experts, including providers, will be on hand to talk about breastfeeding, immunizations and other topics important to parenthood. Local vendors including Flower By Whitney and Plantation Place will also be in attendance with the latest in baby fashions and accessories. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away including a car seat. In addition, free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be available.

“New parents sometimes have a lot of questions about parenthood, ranging from the facilities they’ll have their baby in to how to care for the child at home. Our goal is to bring together all the people who can answer those questions, and to celebrate the miracle that is a new birth,” said Dana Bazzell, director of perinatal services at MCCH.

“Arrival Day” is free and open to all interested. For more information, call (270) 762-1381 or email us at
