GERIATRIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH UNIT PROVIDER MEET AND GREET SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 12TH

Community members and regional healthcare professionals are invited to meet the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner of the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at Murray-Calloway County Hospital, on Tuesday, June 12th, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Medical providers, Dr. Michael McGhee, Medical Director of the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at MCCH and Nurse Practitioner, David Fielder will be available for discussion in the Jan and Kay Dalton Conference Room from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The conference room is located on the first floor of the North Tower, inside the West Entrance, across from the Regional Cancer Center, on 9th Street.

The event will be an opportunity for open discussion with the medical team, a source for information regarding services provided and details about the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

The Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit at Murray-Calloway County Hospital is 12-bed inpatient unit, designed to meet the needs of older adults who require supportive medical care. The unit is a hospital based program for individuals 55+, who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. The program provides compassionate, short-term, comprehensive care for older patients in a secure, caring setting.
