SLEEP TECHS AT MURRAY-CALLOWAY COUNTY HOSPITAL’S SLEEP DISORDERS CENTER RECEIVE POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST CERTIFICATIONS

MCCH Sleep Lab Techs earned certification


All Sleep Lab Technicians at Murray-Calloway County Hospital have earned their certification as Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) from the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT). This credentialing represents the highest certification in the field for the health care professionals who clinically assess patients with sleep disorders.  

The RPSGT credential ensures that sleep technologists hold the highest level of core knowledge, skills, abilities and attributes.

The Sleep Disorders Center offers comprehensive evaluation and care for adults and children ages six and up with sleep and sleep-related breathing disorders and is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The Center is led by Medical Director, Dr. Rachel Korson who is double board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine. Dawn Henderson, RRT, RPSGT, is the Sleep Lab Coordinator and has been employed at MCCH for 30 years Jamie Stewart, RPSGT has been employed at MCCH for 8 years. Karrie Stewart, RPSGT has been employed at MCCH for 6 years. Lisa Becker, RPSGT, CRT has been employed at MCCH for 5 years. Charlene Barnes, BS, RRT has been employed at MCCH for 5 years.
