MCCH Go Red Event

Murray-Calloway County Hospital encourages you to GO RED with us in recognition of American Heart Month in February.

MCCH invites members of the community to participate by wearing red on Thursday, February 28th. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year, killing approximately one woman every 80 seconds. Fortunately, we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action.

In recognition of American Heart Month, a GO RED free screening event will be held in the lobby of our North Tower on Thursday, February 28th from 7:30 am – 9:00 am. The North Entrance Lobby is located just across from the MMS Football Stadium. Free blood pressure checks, pulse, blood oxygen saturation, BMI, and waist circumference screenings will be offered during this time.

From 6am – 8am only, FREE Glucose and Cholesterol screenings will take place in the Board Room located just inside the lobby to the left. Participants must be fasting for this test.

Be sure to post your Go Red pictures on the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Facebook page and help create awareness about the importance of a healthy heart.

Take part in creating awareness about cardiovascular disease and provide an important reminder that it is never too early to take action to protect our health. To learn more about the GO Red event, call the MCCH Marketing Dept. at 762-1381.
