The many volunteers of Murray-Calloway County Hospital were recognized and thanked for their 8,303 hours of service to MCCH in 2018 during the annual MCCH Volunteer Banquet Wednesday, April 12, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church. 

The theme of the banquet was a tea party. After a welcome by Jerry Penner, CEO, and invocation by Kerry Lambert, MCCH chaplain, banquet attendees enjoyed a luncheon. John Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, and Steve Owens, chair of the MCCH Board of Trustees, then gave expressions of appreciation before awards were handed out by Kim Lindsay, HR Director.

The MCCH Auxiliary was formally begun in August of 1981 to serve as a volunteer organization to support MCCH. Auxiliary members donated their time and money to the hospital and its mission of providing health care to the community. Since 1981, volunteers have donated more than 98,000 total hours to MCCH.

Hospice volunteers recognized included: Leah Barnes, Kalissa Bittner, Erin Calvert, Mayuree Chetawatee, Kendal Crawley, Cynthia Elliott, Kay Faires, Stella Franklin, Elizabeth Herndon, Matt Imes, Loretta Jobs, Robin Johnson, Vicki Kemp, Deborah Knight, Brittany Morgan, Doug Mullins, Wanda Mullins, Sharon Myatt, Mary Jane Roberson, Ann Royalty, Stephanie Rule, Aaron Voshage, Lloyd Weatherly, and Pam Williams.

Two special awards were handed out: Most Lifetime Hours, Walter Bradtke, 3,456 hours and Most Hours for the Past Year, Lloyd Weatherly, 843..

Volunteers were recognized for their total number of hours accumulated in their lifetime of service to MCCH (recognized by every 100 hours volunteered). Other volunteers include: 3,400 hours; Walter Bradtke, 3,000, Jerry Hicks, 2,800 hours; Janet Fitch, 2,600; Carolyn Paschall, 2,500; Betty Hassell, 2,400; Jean Watkins, 2,300, Kathy Mowery and Janet Nichols, 2,200; Marion Bradtke, 2,100; Barbara Williams, 2,000; Barbara Shade, 1,800; Lloyd Weatherly, 1,400; Violet Unruh, 1,000; Annie Litwiller and Ruth Coe, 800, Ruth Daughaday, 700; Donna Whitfield, 500; Pam Williams and Mary Jane Roberson, 400, Carol Frashefski and Martha Gardner, 300, Donna Alexander, Wanda Mullins, Janet Channel, 200, Deborah Knight, Michael Faihst, Cynthia Elliott, Brittany Morgan, Janet Zweedyk, Sharon Myatt, 100; Loretta Jobs, Stephanie Rule, Vicki Kemp, Walter Dearie, and 0-99 hours; Matt Imes, Erin Calvert, Frank Harris, Xavier Brown, Kendal Crawley, Kalissa Brittner, Stella Franklin, Aaron Voshage, Leah Barnes, Rica Douglas, Ann Royalty, Elizabeth Herndon, Claire Osbourne, Robin Johnson, Doug Mullins, and Sue Webb.

Additional volunteer’s not recording hours were also recognized: Gloria Shull, Stuart Shull, Jim Stahler, Judy Stahler, Marie Taylor, Oneida White, and Davanna Woods.
