Dr. John Yezerski, Orthopaedic Surgeon, has announced his retirement from Murray Orthopaedics at Murray-Calloway County Hospital set for July 31, 2019.

Behind every great surgeon is a great team and two of those individuals will join him in retiring at the same time. Kathy Alexander, LPN/RT, has been with him since he began in Murray in 1987 and Regina Williams, Office Manager, has been with him since 1988.

When Regina was asked what she liked most about her job she said the friendships she has made. She has enjoyed working with her co-workers over the last 31 years and getting to serve their patients.

“I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Yezerski and Kathy,” Regina said. “Dr. Yezerski has been so gracious all these years and the best boss a person could ask for. Kathy truly has a servant’s heart and displays it every day. I consider them both dear friends. I look forward to spending more time with my grandkids and hope to do some local mission work at my church.”

Regina and her husband, David, have two children, Micheal (Jennifer) of Murray and Kelsey Kennady (Tyler) of Paducah. They also have four grandchildren, Jack – 12, Jaye – 10, Beau – 2, and Hattie – 5 months.

Kathy says she looks forward to retiring; however, she is going to still be working with Murray Orthopaedics on a PRN basis.

Kathy is married to Rickey and they have two children, Jeremy Ticknor and Amy (Lannie) Mize. They have four grandchildren, Tristan – 22, Kade – 17, Caleb – 13, and Makenzie – 12.

“It’s been a great 32 years working with Dr. Yezerski. I am looking forward to more time at home and just doing nothing for a while. I plan on volunteering more at Westside Baptist Church with the Meal Train,” Kathy said.

When asked what she enjoyed most about her job she said it was the family atmosphere. She said everyone has always supported each other through all of life’s ups and downs. “We are family.”

The Murray Orthopaedics team of Dr. Yezerski, Regina and Kathy will retire on July 31st.
