MURRAY, KY – The Center for Rehab and Sports Medicine at Murray-Calloway County Hospital is now offering Oncology Rehabilitation Therapy, a specialized service designed to support cancer patients and survivors in improving their quality of life throughout and beyond their treatment journey.

This new program addresses the unique physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges that individuals face during and after cancer treatment. Oncology rehabilitation is patient-centered care that will be tailored to each patient’s needs, helping to reduce fatigue, improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance overall well-being.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive care that supports cancer patients in every stage of their journey.

Leah Patton, PT, will develop individualized exercise plans at all stages of cancer treatments to decrease the risk of developing negative side effects that occur following surgical and chemotherapy interventions.

Services offered will include:

  • Education about energy prioritization and treatment side effects.
  • Individual plan of exercise to maximize strength and function.
  • Sensory integration and balance training.
  • Manual therapy to promote healing and tissue formation.
  • Ongoing support to promote a return to your regular activities.

Patients interested in learning more about Oncology Rehabilitation Therapy can contact the Center for Rehab and Sports Medicine at 270.762.1854 or visit www.murrayhospital.org.
