MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital recently named Lauren Edminster, Oncology Insurance Verification Specialist at the Regional Cancer Center as the June 2023 Employee of the Month (EOM).

Comments from Kris Jackson – Regional Cancer Center Employee:

Lauren began working in Oncology/Hematology at the position of front office secretary. She earned her CMA certification and transferred to the clinical area of our practice. Lauren has now transferred to work with me in the position that is not technically administrative or clinical, but a combination of both. I know she will excel in this position as well.

She continues to learn and grow. She is process oriented and continuously analyzes office work flows, both administrative and clinical, makes suggestions on how to improve patient care and drives the implementation of the improvements. She is always willing to assist her cowarkers in any way and all ways possible. She has a very positive attitude and is a very compassionate professional.

She is working on her degree in Healthcare Administration and until recently, worked a part-time position at a local restaurant. Her character is beyond reproach. Oncology & Hematology and the Regional Cancer Center at MCCH are fortunate to have her on our team.
