The Hazel Woman’s Club donated $1,000 to the Foundation at Murray-Calloway County Hospital to support the Regional Cancer Center. Elaine Paschall who serves as President, and has been a member of the club since 1972, presented the donation. The club began in 1965 and currently has 17 members who help coordinate a car show on Hazel Day each year. The group of women voted to support the Regional Cancer Center this year with the funds that were raised.

“We knew it was a wonderful thing and glad we were able to do it,” said Elaine Paschall, Hazel Woman’s Club.

The new cancer center brings a new linear accelerator to fight 98% of cancers close to home. Located within the North Tower of MCCH off 8^th Street, the new center provides patients with convenient access to excellent cancer care. Thousands of patients will be cared for annually by a multidisciplinary team of specialists and sub-specialists to meet the challenges presented by more than 20 different types of cancer.

The Murray-Calloway County Hospital is the only nonprofit healthcare facility in our county. The Foundation at Murray-Calloway County Hospital is a 501C3.
