MURRAY, KY – Zack and Kate Eells of Murray started 2025 as the proud new parents of their 7 pound, 12 ounce, baby boy, Rome Tyler Eells who was 20 inches long.

Kate started New Year’s Eve as a regular workday. She is a Nurse Practitioner with United Healthcare and was out doing some visits. She had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Turley that morning and found out she was 4.5 cm dialated. Later that evening she began to have contractions and knew she was in active labor. She headed to the hospital and arrived to MCCH around 7 pm.

“Everything went smooth and we’ve had a great experience all three times,” said Kate.

The Eells welcomed baby boy Rome at 6:34 am on January 1st with Dr. Karla Turley, OB/GYN of Women’s Health of Murray delivering. Dr. Turley has delivered all three of the Eells children.

The couple received various gifts from MCCH for being the first baby of the New Year. The Eells family look forward to starting 2025 welcoming Rome to the world and introducing him to big sisters, Ivy, 4 and Emmy, 2.
