MURRAY, KY – Mark Vellek, MD, Hematologist/Oncologist has recently joined the Regional Cancer Center.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and specialized in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Vellek earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital. Dr. Vellek continued his education and completed his Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Washington University School of Medicine. He joins our medical team with over 31 years of experience. He spent 28 years in private practice and for the last three years has been working as a locum.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and cycling.
