MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital is proud to announce that its Cath Lab team has successfully performed the third renal denervation procedure in the state of Kentucky and the first in the region. This groundbreaking treatment for uncontrolled hypertension is currently available at only one other hospital in the state, marking a significant advancement in cardiovascular care for our region.
Renal denervation is a minimally invasive procedure designed to help patients with resistant hypertension by targeting the nerves in the renal arteries. This innovative approach offers new hope for individuals who have not achieved optimal blood pressure control through medication alone.
“We are honored to be at the forefront of this life-changing technology,” said Jenna McAlpin, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. “Our dedicated team is committed to bringing the latest advancements in cardiovascular care to our patients, improving outcomes, and enhancing quality of life.”
This milestone reflects MCCH’s and Murray Cardiology Associate’s ongoing commitment to pioneering medical treatments and providing top-tier cardiovascular care to the community.
