Murray-Calloway County Hospital Celebrates Nurse Extern Graduation

MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital celebrated the accomplishments of its Nurse Externs at a graduation celebration. The milestone marked the completion of a hands-on program that provided clinical experience, professional development, and mentorship for nursing students preparing to enter the healthcare workforces.

“We are very proud of our graduating Nurse Externs and wish them the best in their future career. The extern program helps students gain valuable experience and the opportunity to work alongside a licensed preceptor building skills and experience.  The program also serves as a recruiting opportunity for MCCH,” said Lori Callihan, RN, Clinical Educator.
