MURRAY, KY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital is proud to announce the launch of its new Nurse Navigation Program, designed to provide patients with cancer a comprehensive, personalized care experience throughout their treatment journey. This initiative is aimed at improving patient outcomes, reducing hospital readmissions, and enhancing overall patient satisfaction.

The Nurse Navigation Program welcomes Jaclin Parker, RN, MSN, as the MCCH Regional Cancer Center Nurse Navigator. She will work with each cancer patient and help guide him or her from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. She will also follow patients from their initial screening mammogram and play a role in streamlining diagnostic testing, as well as, coordinate appointments, explain treatment options, and act as a liaison between patients and their healthcare teams.

Key benefits include:

  • Seamless coordination of care across different departments and specialists
  • Personalized guidance throughout each phase of cancer care
  • Assistance with scheduling appointments and understanding treatment plans
  • Education and emotional support for patients and their families

The new program will be available to all cancer patients receiving care at the MCCH Regional Cancer Center, with the goal of improving both clinical outcomes and patient well-being. This initiative is part of the hospital’s broader commitment to patient-centered care and innovation in oncology services.
